Kindergarten on Announcements

Kindergarten was on Morning Announcements this week to help lead the Pledge of Allegiance, Christian Pledge, and prayer. Every student had the opportunity (some chose not to be on ‘tv’). They did great!

 

Timeline Project

 Your child brought home a homework project today - a timeline of events from their own lives!

They may use photos or draw pictures.

The writing portion may be completed by the student OR the parent (or a combination)

This will be due next FRIDAY, when they will share their timelines with the class, and then we will hang these in the hallway.

The projects will be returned to you, but I would not use priceless or irreplaceable photos! 

Math games

 This week in math, we used our number cards first to put the numbers in order, and then to play ‘What’s missing?’ Students worked with a partner at a safe distance. We had so much fun with this game!

Apples, apples, apples

 It’s that time of year! We’re surrounded by apple projects. Last week, we taste tested different colors of apples and created a chart, wrote about apples, and created an art project (see below). This week, we will try applesauce, read more about apples, and learn about the life cycle of an apple tree.
