Hello Kindergarten Families,
I hope you and your family had a restful Spring Break and a meaningful Easter. It may not have looked like our typical Easter, but there was beauty and meaning in the day no matter what. Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
With the news that we will not be returning to our school building, I spent a lot of time thinking about what school will look like for us. While I would much rather be teaching your children live and in person, we all have to do what we can to maintain safety for everyone. Seeing your children's work via text, email, etc. has brought me hope that they ARE still learning and showing successes in continuing their education. I can't do this without you, but I hope to help make this easier on all of you as well.
Going forward, I will be using an app called Seesaw Class. Please make sure when downloading that you download the Seesaw CLASS version, not the Family app. This can be used on phones, tablets, ipads, or computers. We will have math and phonics activities on there. Students can complete activities, play games, respond in writing, or even record their answers for me. It allows directions to be read to them. There may be a bit of a learning curve to some of the activities, but we will do our best! I will send an email to each family with your unique Home Learning Code (password) to log in.
Each day, you will start with the information I email you (the same info can be found on the blog each day) and work your way down the list. Some lessons will be via YouTube videos, and some will be extended with Seesaw activities or the remaining paper copies I sent home when this all began. As Mr. Petzold stated in last week's email, activities will be sent on Mon-Thur to be completed on Tues-Fridays with the weekend and Mondays as "catch up" days.
Please click the following link for info on getting into your Seesaw account:
